Give your Super Bowl menu a Latin Twist

Looking to add more fiesta to your snack line up?

Try some of these simple Latin crossover options that will make your Super Bowl extra caliente!

1. The Best Newcomer: Empanadas

This handheld street food is the next favorite Super Bowl smack. You can make your own, or get them at the store or online.

2. The Best Classic: Nachos

Layer corn chips with your favorite toppings. Cheese is definitely a must; make sure to microwave for a few seconds to get some stringy goodness. Chicken strips, salsa, and sour cream complete the layout.

3. A favorite: taco bar

A little bit more work, a little bit more mess, but certainly the way to have fun and make sure there is something for everyone's taste.  Gather at the store enough taco shells and tortillas, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese, lettuce and then the protein of your choice.

4. Yuca fries

SO much better than your regular fries. Buy them frozen, and either fry or air fry for a totally new experience.

5. Plantain chips

Slightly sweet and yet salty, this crunchy deliciousness goes well with everything.

 6. Mini-arepas

Arepas or pupusas are a type of corn cake that make the perfect vessel for all of your favorite topping. You can buy them frozen in the latin section of the frozen aisle, or easily make your own: Add loads of cheese, either inside or on top!

7. Make your own mango dip

Goes well with any of the options above! Place in a blender the pulp of 2 or 3 really ripe mangoes. Blend for a few seconds, until obtaining a smooth a creamy consistency. Add the juice from 2 limes, 1 oz of vinegar, salt and pepper. Listos!
